ok la brbalik pada kuih yg kat atas tu plak...kita trpngil utk buat kuih omptih ni sbb msa p KLCC sewaktu prgram jln2 msa Cik Abang kita ada..kita beli la pretzel dri makcik Anne's utk kunyah2 smbil jejln tgk kiri kanan tu...utk suami kita beli jalapeno & cheese...untuk anak2 pulak cinnamon sugar...almond sugar dan coklat stiknya tu...klu dah dari makcik Anne's memang smua sdp la kan!! memang paberett!! mkn 2 bijik pun bleh hbis...wpun pretzelnya tu smua gedebakkk!! jdi tu yg kita pun buat la jgk utk mkn ptg dan buat pon kononnya ala2 mcm yg makcik Anne's jgk le...hehe...rmah kita ni memang peminat cinnamon...jdi tu yg kita letak bnyk2 srbuk kayu manis...tapi memang sdp kan...kna plak dgn secwn kopi ke...rspi asal Aunt Annie's Soft Pretzels dri cdkitchen...cma kita tabur almond dan parmesan cheese sbgai topping tambahan...dan slebihnya ikut rspi kat bawah ni...sdappppp...

Ingredients: - kita buat 1/2 rspi je
- 1 1/8 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup bread flour
- 3 cups regular flour
- 2 cups Warm water
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- to taste coarse salt
- 4 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 3 tablespoons milk powder - ni kita tambah sendiri
Toping - ni kita tambah sendiri
- serbuk kayu manis secukupnya
- chopped almond secukupnya
- gula perang secukupnya
- parmesan cheese secukupnya - kita juga letak parmesan cheese ni dalam doh sbelum dibentuk, nakkan rasa cheese yang mewah...
- 1 biji telur - untuk sapu pada pretzel sebelum dibakar
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast on lukewarm water in mixing bowl; stir to dissolve. Add sugar, salt and stir to dissolve; add flour and knead dough until smooth and elastic. Let rise at least 1/2 hour.
While dough is rising, prepare a baking soda water bath with 2 cups warm water and 2 Tbsp baking soda. Be certain to stir often. After dough has risen, pinch off bits of dough and roll into a long rope* (about 1/2 inch or less thick) and shape. Dip pretzel in soda solution and place on greased baking sheet. Allow pretzels to rise again. Bake in 450 oven for about 10 minutes or until golden. Brush with melted butter and enjoy!
Toppings: after you brush with butter try sprinkling with coarse salt. or for Auntie Anne's famous Cinnamon Sugar, try melting a stick of butter in a shallow bowl (big enough to fit the entire pretzel) and in another shallow bowl make a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Dip the pretzel into the butter, coating both sides generously. Then dip again into the cinnamon mixture. Enjoy! (kita panaskan butter + sunflower oil)
* The longer and thinner you can make the dough rope, the more like Auntie Anne's they will be. (Of course I don't have the counter space!)
*Sweet butter, not regular butter, is one of her secrets!

Btw pretzels aunt anne tuh mengancam la..Amy kan kalo tiap kali balik msia mmg xlepas peluang beli pretzels ni mmg sedap..Suka yg almond tuh sgt2 sedap..hmm nak buat mmg la malas ekekekeke. Akak xpe la rajin =)
